Keg at the bottle shop druid Street. A cola brown ruby coloured pour with a halo of beige head. Aroma is sweet toffee, brown sugars, toffee apple, Belgian, vanilla. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, toffee, brown sugars, brandy snap, apple burnt sugars,. Bitting brown sugars. Palate is medium full, rounded, bitting finish.

On tap at The Bottle Shop Bermondsey. Deep russet chestnut colour. Very rich malty flavour. Toffee biscuit. Some dryness on the finish. Bit sweet for me but OK.

Bottleshop. Keg. Clear deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and smooth, decent fine carbonation. Nice bitter toffee held in check by mild creamy sweetness. Good bitter ripe fruits, little bitter marmalade. Light bitterish finish. Nice.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy amber with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is caramel, raisin, licorice. Medium body, raisin, licorice, nice sweetness, light boozy finish, very nice.

[3/1/15] Draught at Reuben’s Brews in Seattle. Dark reddish brown. Aroma of caramel, dark fruits and a bit of spiciness. Sweet flavor with caramel, brown sugar, dark fruits, some yeasty spiciness, a boozy touch and a bit of bitterness. Medium-bodied.

Draft pour at the brewery. Pours a dark brown color with a nice, Almost surprising fresh hops aroma. Light spice and caramel. Dark fruit, plum, grape, and raisin. Finishes malty with some more spice. Very tasty beer.
