Dark brown. Mellow smoky nose, but the smoke is fairly prominent on the palate. Blends well with a highly toasted, chocolatey malt profile.

Draft - Roast with some nice smoke notes. Jet black with a rich brown head. Smoky notes, nice sweetness and a roasty smoky finish. Very solid and pretty subdued.

On tap at Kulshan, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out roasted malt and only a touch of smoke. Flavour is along the same lines, with a very robust palate. The smoke is barely even present. Solid roasted stout.

Draught at the brewery
Dark color near black, with brownish head. Aroma of smoke, firewood, roasted malt. Smooth mouthfeel; roasted malt flavor, dark caramel, a touch of dark chocolate, and nice smokey line; fairly bitter; the warming alcohol is a nice complement.
Very good.
