07/07/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (375ml bottle). Bellissimo color ambrato intenso limpidissimo, buona schiuma biancastra pannosa, molto persistente. Aroma intenso di malto, caramello, luppolo, alcool, con evidenti note legnosea. In bocca è molto alcolica, caramellata, luppolata, con note astringenti date dalla botte. Incredibilmente complessa. Corpo pieno, carbonazione corretta. Una DIPA aggressiva e di gran carattere.

Bottle shared with friends. Similar appearance to others in the series. Not particularly different and certainly very little oak in the flavour

Love this series, really nice for comparison. Hazy medium orange color. Smell could have been a little stronger. Very nice taste though.

My favorite one from these series. Nice and hoppy, wood in the smell and taste. It’s a bit to bubbly for me. Feels like large and lots of big CO2 bubbles.

Copenhagen beer festival. Hazy amber beer, tidy white head. Soft and slightly citrussy fruit. A little tart elderflower like taste in the head and in the finish.

Pine and piss nose! Mmm! Very low carbonation. Creamy malt with pine and spicy orange. The Acasia seems to have rounded things off but any qualities it imparts are subtle.

8/11/11/11//11

375ml bottle wrapped in paper. Pours out a orange/amber topped with a cream head. Aroma was of caramel malts, sweet pit fruit, and a little wood. Taste was as the aroma with sweetness but ending on a little bitter hop note.

Recommendation from Casey at Max’s, shared with steptin. Variegated amber color, huge off white head, massive lacing. Aroma of freshly cut green wood - reminded me of spring! Taste is birch bark (but in a good way), earth, slight acidity, hi carbonation, bitter finish. Makes me want to try the others in the series.

Bottle from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours hazy amber with a decent foamy off-white head. Aromas of dried stone fruit and spice with a touch of perfume. Flavor is like the base with a very floral aspect. Overall quite different from the base. Smoother. Mellower. Bitter is less harsh. Nice.
