Tree Brewing Company and Giobean Espresso collaborated to brew this occasional rarity. Molto Bella Espresso IPA is brewed using the award winning recipe of Tree Brewing IPAs, infused with Giobean's own special blend of the finest espresso.

The result is a full bodied brew, with notes of citrus, grapefruit and pine balanced with treacle sweetness of toffee, marzipan, roasted almonds and undertones of dark slightly spiced chocolate.

650ml bottle. Pours a dark orange with a white head. Aroma is coffee beans, grassy and piney hops on the background. Taste is hoppy piney bitter, cold coffee. Sounds good, but in fact the beer is totally unbalanced.

Bottle. Hazy orange Amber, offwhite lace. Minerally espresso aroma with hop overtones, which seems weird. comes together on the palate: roast, Berrylike coffee notes, almost but not quite vegetal notes, broad hop profile. Mellow medium full creamy body. Dark Ipa without the "dark" and with some unusual complexity. Interesting

Bottle - Espresso and grapefruit. Clear copper with a decent beige head. Espresso roast, pine and grapefruit with a nice bitterness. I laughed at this now I love it. Better than most Black IPA’s I have had. Well done.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Opaque orangey yellow with minimal white head. Predominant espresso aroma. Overpowering espresso flavour with mild hops in the background. Feels like a gimmicky one note pony, but it’s good for what it is.

650mL bottle, pours a hazy amber / bronze with a medium white head. Aroma of pure espresso, not much else, certainly no hops detectable. Flavour brings out moderate espresso upfront, obscuring the hop character which very faded and far back. Tastes quite fresh, with the espresso dominating. As always with this bizarre combination of coffee and IPA, the coffee tends to outdo the hops. Solid stuff though for what it is.

Beautiful amber color, hazy, with creamy head. Nice aroma of a coffee bag. The mouthfeel is rather dry. The flavor is just similar to a mug of coffee, and it’s beery just in its carbonation and enhanced bitterness.
Good beer. Maybe drinking it before bedtime was not a good idea…
