Red-amber. Medium head. Aroma has a lot of bready malt and floral, citrusy hop. Bitter, slightly chewy malt. Good balance in this one. Tasty, good example.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear coppet with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is earth, pine, grapefruit. Medium mouth, bitter hop bite, grapefruit, lingering bitter finish, very good.

2015-01-26, draught at Stateside Craft, Vancouver, 7-5-7-4-15=38
Dark amber color, clear. The aroma is not too strong, but it has a good balance of malt and fruity hops, cake. Lean body, good caramel flavor, with just light supporting sweetness; strong bitterness, mild hop resins, orange peel, light hemp.
Very good, classic within the style.
2015-01-07, draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, 6-4-7-4-14=35
Dark amber color, creamy head. The caramel character is good, moderately sweet, lean, a bit malty too; powerful hopping with some resins and light fruity touch.
Solid beer, round, a good winter warmer.

On tap at St Augustine's, pours a hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out a good mix of caramel makes and resinous hops. Flavour is very well-balanced and quite robust, with big resinous hops showcasing upfront, with a big but not as forward caramel malt component. This is how an imperial red should be. Big n bold and wonderfully drinkable. Great one.
