One of the few adventures in the realm of bottom fermented beers for Birra del Borgo. A mix of American and European hops in dry-hopping (Simcoe, Warrior and Saaz). Stronger in alcohol, hence the Imperial appellation, will surprise you with its intensity, being both explosive and balanced at the same time. A blonde beer with a strong backbone, just like the main character of the novel by Willa Cather from which the beer takes its name.

330ml stylish bottle bought from Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk. Shared with Finn. Covering white head leaving rings of lace on the glass, near clear golden body. Quite inviting smell of grain and herbal hops. Decent blended taste of noble hops, bread, and a citrus bite. Malt-fruity, mid-sweet ending. Well bodied. Pretty good. (Bergstua, Malangen 28.10.2020).

Bottle, online from Beerhawk. Pours hazy golden with a white top. Aroma: sweet malts, grass, bread, tropical fruit hints. Taste: moderate sweet & bitter, light floral, caramel, citrus. Medium bodied, ample carbonation, crisp dry finish.

Bottle shared by Andrew, thanks! Pours a slightly hazy with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has grass and straw with some bready grains backing. Flavor has biscuit and grain with bread and some grass in the finish.

Hazy golden, sticky ivory head. Huge yummy caramel malț aroma with a dash of candied citrus - ultimate malts. Similar taste, yummy rich thick pale malts, spicy boozy hot bitterness. Great.
