Deep dark brown with no foam to speak of, very soft wheat and vanilla aroma. Flavour is mellow ruby wheat. Medium finish. Alcohol is well hidden but the rest of this just screams "why?" In the loudest possible manner.

Draft pour at Brassneck. Listed at 8%, but by tasting it, 9% seems more believable. Dark, reddish tinted brown pour, clean. Grape, sweet malt, Belgian yeast aroma. Flavor is a sweet and strong dark fruit, sweet malts, and plenty of Belgian character coming through. Some bready malts lingering in the background. Plenty of flavor, and a nice warming touch. Pretty good.

Taster at the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy brown with a tan head. Aroma is some spices and roasted malt notes. Similar taste with some fruity notes. This beer has some Brassneck-ish profile. Just an ok, nothing very interesting.

Poured from the tap. Murky mahogany brown with beige head. Dark fruit, sweet malt, Belgian yeast, mild alcohol. A good attempt by a local brewery.

On tap. Pours a dark mahogany with light to moderate head. Aromas of burnt sugar, dark fruit and sweet malts. Flavor carry same with additional raisin, Belgian yeast and copper notes. A mild but nice Dubbel.

Dark amber color, cloudy, with small head. Immediate aroma of banana, bubblegum, then some malt and caramel, eventually a hint of dust and manure too, earthy (7-). Full bodied, the mouthfeel is rather sweet but not cloying; good malt flavor with caramel and a strong banana character (7+); the bitterness is a bit stronger than the average Belgian beer, with delicate hop fruits and resins, and there is a very light dusty touch in the final; the alcohol can be perceived too, warming. The final is well supported by the different elements, and sweetish, but I like sweet beers.
Balanced; good beer, more American than Belgian style (the banana and the sweetness).

Draft - Dark sugars and Belgian yeast. Deep cloudy brown with a rich light brown head. Raisin, light sweet booze and Belgian yeast profile. Light bubblegum and a sweet light estery finish. Typical and decent without a tone of booze nor the big body.

Cloudy, dull amber, and no real head, big bubblegummy phenols...argh...this is a blend if Chimay and Duvel yeasts but probably fermented at too high a temperature because neither of those breweries are so phenolic. Sweet but the taste is actually nice...good strong muscular alcohol, with slight bubblegum and sticky amber malts.

On tap at Brassneck, pours an opaque murky dark burgundy with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dark fruits, Christmas spices, and Belgian yeast. Flavour brings out lots of Belgian yeast, dark fruits, and light spices. Extremely well-balanced, with a nice spiciness and dry dark fruitiness. Not my favourite style, but this is brewed very well. Great stuff.
