Decent little head and heavily carbonated brown body. Malts on the nose, graham cracker, chocolate syrup. Flavour is sharp chocolate syrup, some cocoa, dry finish. Drinkable but far from interesting.

On tap at the brewery with Alex. Aroma is roasted malt. Same taste. Meh, nothing interesting easy drinkable stuff.

On tap. Pots a cloudy brown with moderate head. Aromas of nuts and dry malts. Flavors of same with additional notes of roasted grains. Dry clean and simple.

Draught at 12 Kings Pub, Vancouver, 14 oz
Dark amber to brown color, hazy, with compact head. The aroma is dusty and roasty. The mouthfeel is quite dry but also smooth; roasted nuts flavor, not enough malt backup for my liking, correctly bitter, but also a bit of dust in the final. Good one, but it won’t win me to love Brown Ales yet.

Draft - Toasted malts and cocoa. Cloudy brown with a decent beige head. Toast and caramel with a very light bitterness. Decent.

amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out some roasted malt, with a little cocoa powder. Flavour is unusually potent for a brown, with cocoa powder and light roasted malt. Extremely clean, with loads of depth - unusual for a brown. Probably the best local brown ale as of now. Great stuff.

They intend to have a brown ale in their lineup. This is one they are testing out. They felt it was probably too hoppy but the drinking public seemed to like it, so it might stick around (with a new name) down the road. Cloudy light brown. Nice nutty aroma and taste, nice bitterness, dry finish. Doesn’t look like much but a good brown with potential.
