Poured from 341mL bottle. Mahogany dark brown with beige head. Lighter-to-medium roast malt. That’s about it. Not bad.

On tap several times, pours a dark brown with a medium beige head. Nose brings out light roasted malt, light smoke, and some toasted notes. Flavour is the same, with a very smooth, drinkable body. Nothing overly exciting, but very easy drinking and enjoyable if nothing else is available.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Black color, big head. Very nice aroma of roasted malt. Elegant roasted malt flavor, creamy; very dry mouthfeel; but there is also an evident liquorice touch that is out of place. Weak final. Interesting interpretation of the style.

a medium bodied dark lager with whiffs of chocolate. Not too great and a bit thin, but not bad.

Aroma hard to detect Dark red-brown, lowish head. Slight malt taste which lingers a bit, generally too bland however.

Dark chestnut brown colour. Aroma is somewhat light, but with hints of breadcrust and a touch of molasses. The flavour has some hints of darker Munich malts, a little bit of earthiness. Body is somewhat watery, especially for the style. Sweet, slightly toffeeish finish. I would like to see more body and a more complex dark malt character - it’s just not as rich and assertive as a good dunkel should be.
