Very soft hoppy malt on the nose, has a muddy reddish brown body and soft foam. Flavour is leathery boozy malt, heavy and the alcohol is way too forward. It's coming across quite harsh and there's plenty of lingering alcohol. This could be great but right now it's too much of a blunt instrument.

Tall can from High Point. Pours a copper golden with a strong tan head. Aroma is biscuit malt, slightly dirty, grainy, some hops. Taste is grainy, some caramel notes and roasted malt. Rough hoppy bitterness aftertaste. Not good.

Tap. Deep reddish. Light rye and a touch of hop fruitiness. Light rye character, touch of diacetyl, bit of chewiness, anyway the elements are not all that well integrated.

650 ml bottle. Pours a mahogany color with light head. Aromas of brown sugar, light pine, and malt extract. Flavors of bitter hops/grass, very light toffee, light orange and slightly caramelized malts. Somewhat watery. I didn’t get the diacetyl as per others but was really expecting more.

Sorry, previous raters, this beer is flawed (too much diacetyl.) Sparkling amber, loose beige head.Malt nose with hints of diacetyl. Palate of sweet malt, medium hop bitterness but also medium Diacetyl

Draft - Caramel and some grapefruit hops. Clear copper with a nice beige head. Caramel and grapefruit with a nice citrus pithy bitterness. Decent.

On tap at Bomber, pours a clear amber golden with a large off-white head. Aroma brings out caramel malts, resinous hops, a little wood, and some fruitiness. Flavour brings out chewy caramel malts, balanced with resinous hops. A very light vegetal quality. Nothing special, but certainly nice enough.

Draught at Lamplighter, Vancouver, 14oz
Red amber color, clean, with compact head. Mild aroma of caramel and light aroma of hops. Lean mouthfeel, getting more complete and full bodied later; it plays with off dry caramel flavor, a bit dusty, and extreme hopping, somehow resiny, not much fruity, and unfortunately ending with a chicory-like bitterness.
A good beer overall, for bitterness seekers, not exceptional.
