Has a light amber colour. Has a mellow currant taste, sweet honeyed character, and a little bit of dryness in the finish. Almost an oakiness.

2011 bottle, pours a clear pale golden. Nose is quite dry for a mead, with alcohol and dry honey. Flavour is very dry, with honey, tartness, and bone dryness on the finish. Higher alcohol than typical meads. Good stuff.

Bottle at the meadery, synthetic cork, vintage 2009
Beautiful color, red copper. Nice aroma of berries, but later showing some chemical compound, then mature fruits, lightly oxidized. The mouthfeel is very dry, more fruit wine character than mead, mild fruits, light oxidization again, correct acidity.
Think of a Rosé wine, but smoother.
