On tap at the Alibi Room. Has an aroma of funky grains with some sweetness, but there appears to be no real control over the thing. Has a modest foam and cloudy bright brown body. Flavour is soft sweet brown sugar with hefe dough hints. Has a medium finish, kind of sweet without any noticeable oil. This is adequate but average, too many things going on unchecked to make it exciting or interesting.

Growler from the brewery. Fairly hazy, amber-brown. Aroma has some strong phenols including a touch of bubblegum, and some dusty yeast. Flavour is sweeter up front but there is a bit of tartness as well. The phenols are toned down but there is some yeast character as well. Ok but definitely needs refinement.

On tap at BC beer awards. Pours an orange brown with medium head. Aromas of fresh fruit and smoke. Flavors of oranges, toasted malts, grains and light smoke. Nice and easy to drink.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Murky amber color with thick creamy head. Banana aroma, a bit spicy. Smooth mouthfeel, some banana flavor, some rye, but also too much yeast, quite astringent, dirty feeling.
Unrefined.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours an opaque dirty dark amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out notes of rye, banana and clove. Flavour brings out notes of banana and clove upfront, followed by toasted bread. Well-balanced, with a rather chewy palate. Decent beer.
