A bitter beer for the sweetest coast, our West Coast IPA hits major-key notes of citrus and flower, but finishes with a mellowing, hoppy flourish. Smooth and spirited at the same time? Only on the West Coast.

Draft pour pint at Medina. On vacation, so breakfast beers are the obvious choice. Enjoyed earlier today, and took notes. Pours a bright golden color with a ton of foam head and lace. Sweet mango and pine aroma. Flavor is heavy with tropical fruit, and very low bitter. Some orange late. Very nice IPA overall.

Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen.

Flasche( Vielen Dank, Jonas!!!) Cloudy, orangey coloured, big yellowish stable and loose head; moderate to solid grapefruity-hoppy nose with a delicate bready-malty background; solid bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, harsh; lingering hoppy and grapefruity finish with a phenolic touch. Even though pretty tart, all in all a good one…

Bottle. Cloudy orange, off-white creamy lace. Lemongrass, lime, and tropical fruit aroma. Medium light dry body, somewhat metallic bitterness, a hint bandaid. Bit light on the malt, lovely hops though.

Draft - Grapefruit and a nice caramel backbone. Hazy gold with a decent white head. Slightly pithy and resinous with a bit of fruity sweetness. Ok, but nothing special.

Hazy light amber color with small compact head. Wonderful fruity hop aroma, apricots. The malt flavor has some caramel tendency, just a bit chewy, whereas the current trend would be to brew leaner beers; good hopping, that is both fruity and resiny. Light animal touch.
Very good, but a bit heavy.

Hazy amber color with small head. Very nice aroma, tropical fruits, pineapple being more evident. Nice mouthfeel, quite round and smooth; strong caramel flavor, moderately sweet, quickly getting nutty; strong bitterness, with good hop resins and hop fruitiness. Balanced. Possibly there is a light buttery touch.
Very good, although I prefer when IPAs are less caramelly.

1L growler, pours a hazy golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma of resinous and piney hops, and some caramel biscuity malt backing. Flavour is very similar, with loads of piney, resinous hops, some dry woody notes, and a biscuity malt backbone. Quite woody and piney, with a dry mouthfeel, making this have very high drinkability. This is definitely one of the better IPAs in BC - after the first few batches, this improved markedly.
