Very dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall one centimetre off-white and tan head that stays afloat very thinly on top. Aroma of very lightly smoked malts with a dash of cherries and flowers with a bit of a caramel and nutty scent too, but pretty mild throughout. Light to barely Medium-bodied; Nice toasted grain flavours show at first with a good kick of nuts, earth and smoke here along with an icing sugar sweetness, some lactose and a touch of hay dryness at the end. Aftertaste shows more of the smoke near the end with a roasted grain and a nutty, fairly elegant malty finish without any real bitterness or punch, nice for the style. Overall, a nice and enjoyable beer that starts very simply, but ends up a bit more robust and well-defined. I sampled this ten ounce pour on draught at the Kunhenn Brewpub here in Warren, Michigan while back at home on 18-April-2023 for US$7,00.

Draft - Toast and nice light malts. Jet black with a decent beige head. Roasty, dark fruit, cocoa and a very dry finish. A longer and maybe sweeter finish would have been better for me..
