Coppery-gold hue with a full cascade hop aroma. Rich bready malts lay a perfect foundation for the profusion of tangy, citrusy hops that infuse this beer with a distinct ruby-red grapefruit quality that starts on the palate and lingers through a long satisfying finish.

12oz bottle pours murky deep peach like copper with thin off white head. The aroma offers up cherry and prune sweet dark fruity esters as well as floral hops, some citrus and a light amount of roasted malts. The aroma comes off kind of odd as the floral seems to be fighting against the other notes. It just doesn’t come together. The taste is a bit thin with a mix of firm floral hops, spicy hops and grapefruit hops filling up the flavor before notes of cherry, prune and caramelized peach murmur their way to the surface. By midway and to the finish roasted malts help dry this out along with hop bitterness. Like the aroma the flavor seems a bit disjointed and doesn’t really come together for me.

Great hazy copper coloured body with an amber glow and a thick, luscious, dense tan head. Aroma of fresh graperfuit hops with a good malt backbone and a bit of apricot sweetness. Medium-bodied; Assertive hops up front fade fairly quickly to a good malt backbone, then suddenly re-appear for a grapefruit and piney hop blast near the end. Aftertaste shows some subtle sweetness, a bit of good malt for flavour and then finishes with a great hop bitterness. Overall, a pretty respectable IPA showing a lot of hops, good complexity and a solid malt presence. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan for US$1.89 on 30-July-2010 sampled at home in Washington on 24-October-2010.

This IPA poured a medium yellow colour with a nice, big, off white, foamy head. To the nose there are scents of orange citrus, dough, floral hopps and bread. First sip was decently hoppy with a creamy mouthfeel. Flavours of slightly bitter hopps most prodominant. Other flavours include spruce, butter and a slightly roasty flavour. Finish is bitter with the floral hopp taste lingering

On tap at the Brewpub. Poured a dark gold with an off-white head. Aroma was one note and full of citrus hops. Flavor has a bit more to it as the malts balanced out the citrus hops.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of mibirder. Thanks! Pours a copper color with a medium head. Decent retention and good lacing. Aroma is toffeeish malts with a bit of grapefruit. Taste is very hoppy.... peach and grapefruit notes. Some nutty malts as well. Medium bodied.

on hand pump-pours a light tan head that laces and cloudy gold/orange color. Aroma is mild citrus zest, backbone of light/medium malt. Taste is somewhat sweet citrus zest/earthy hops, backbone of light/medium malt, then mild bitter at the front is off set by earthy and sweet. Softly carbonated Session ale.

On cask at the brewpub. Orange amber pour with a good sized white head. Aromas of citrus and grassy hops. Flavor is mostly of grapefruit hops and a decent amount of bitterness. Decent IPA, but could use a bit more flavor.
