Our Hop Ottin’ IPA is brewed and dry-hopped with copious amounts of Columbus and Cascade. This beer is a showcase of the bright citrusy aromas, bold grapefruit and pine-like flavors, and resiny bitterness that hop heads crave. With a brilliant, deep amber color and solid malt backbone, hints of citron, roses, and bergamot peak with a dry, herbal finish in this well-balanced interpretation of a West Coast IPA.

Hazy amber-orange with a huge, glasslacing pale yellow head that hangs around. Citrusy-hoppy aroma and a mildly hoppy taste and aftertaste. Not really very bitter, but it drinks really well!

bottle - This beer seems pretty typical for the style. There’s the hoppy aroma, the light malt flavor and in this case perhaps a touch too thin on the palate, and the strong, bitter hops finish that hangs around for awhile. It’s alright.

Pour is a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is strong pine hops that smell fresh as can be. Flavor is wonderful. Stong hop bite with a nice bitterness to it. Also some fruityness and pepper show up on the swallow. A very good IPA and a very easy on the wallet for such a outstanding brew.

An amber beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is dusty hoppy as well as slightly flowery. The flavor is sweet malty and rather hoppy. OK.

The aroma of this IPA - floral and sweet malts with just the subtlest hint of citrus and pine - provides no clue to the hoppy bitterness to follow at first taste. The beer poured dark copper, not quite opaque. Short off-white head. Its flavor leans toward the sweet malts - honey and caramel. But there is a nice coating of raspy hops during and after taking a sip, one that intensified as the beer warmed. Medium to thick body. If grapefruit and pine are your idea of an ideal IPA, this ain’t it. But I thought the balance between sweet and bitter made this a refreshing beer.

Tap @ The Yardhouse Pasadena,CA Grassy hops and bitter oranges in the aroma. Brownish amber (well it was kind of dark in that place), low creamy head. Fruity and grassy, plenty of earthy and spicy notes as well, peppery finish. Medium body. Long lasting bittering hop note afterwards.

Bottle Pours a medium dark copper/amber color with a quite large head that settles quickly but maintains a good film and sticky lacing. Aroma is of citrus rind, malt and hops. Flavor is definately citrus up front, malt then the hops come barging in to the party. A lot of carbonation, fairly thin feel and a quick finish that leave quite a bit of hopy bitters at the end.
