Deep copper, small off white head. Subtle spicy nose, slightly toasty malts, pale, but a tad sweet, too. Quite bitter, but spicy, with a nice herbal hoppiness. The rye really makes its presence felt, and the hops really blast through. There are nice nice malts, bready and nutty, with some roast, but the hops are rye spiciness take away from the subtleties i look for in a bocks malt profile. All in all, reminds me of an american over hopped version of a classic style.

Amber, cloudy, decent, light floral nose, has light earthy taste, quite yeasty, and overall balanced and unexciting. Not much rye and no bock.

Bottle @ Greg’s dump. Pours a burnt orange appearance with an off white head. Twangy orange / light banana, slightly toasted malty / caramel aroma that’s a bit off. Slightly twangy, chewy tree branch / herbal flavor. Some citrus. Kind of messed up.

650ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a clear deep amber with a one finger off white head that quickly disappears. Nose is rye and some light citrus and spice. Light sweetness with some spice from the rye and fairly bitter finish. Mouth seems a little thin with average carbonation; I would expect a bock to be a little fuller.
