Get ready to bask in the glory of the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the citrus accents from the abundance of dry hopping. This one’s sweet, yet balanced. Malty undertones shake hands with the hop character for a finish that never turns too bitter.

Bottle. Pours dark hazy amber with a medium white head. Aromas of lots of citrus, some pines, grassy hops and some malt sweetness. Taste is pretty piney and malty sweet, some caramel, lots of grass but a good overall bitterness to it aswell.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 21A). Can 35.5 cl - batch unknown (BBF unknown - Canned on 12.06.19). AROMA: medium-low to low hop aroma (pine), starting to fade. background of caramelized malt due to oxidation. APPEARANCE: amber color and clear. medium ivory head with good retention. TASTE: medium-low hop flavor (pine) with slight citrus notes. background of caramelized malt due to oxidation. medium-high to high bitterness with a dry and bitter finish. PALATE: medium body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an IPA with ok notes but starting to show oxidation problems.

The very quintessential example of a classic american ipa the way they once were, and how they should be. The hop flavour and aroma are spot on. The bitterness is still high, a bit too much for me even, but the body is still balanced with it. online saveaur bier

Thuis uit een flesje. Vrij heldere koper kleur. Matig schuim. Goed gist in de geur. Zachte, maar ook stevige bitter in de smaak. Prima!

12 oz can from Brewers Haven. Finally nailed this one down, been on my list for a while. Worth the wait. Clear amber with one finger frothy head, fades to patches of tightly beaded bubbles. Woody, caramel aroma, some piney astringency. Taste tunes in to hops a bit more with a nice bitterness, mouth coating, lingering. Caramel malts support the hoppy bite with a litle sweetness. Lovely feel and palate. Classic IPA deserving of its reputation.
