BOOOOOORRRRRRRRING!
surprise surprise, another lager in the Ontario Beer scene. WHOA, i’m shocked. You know its hard to believe the brewery that came out with a WICKED winter ale, and the awesome devils pale ale, keeps making a bland boring, not even good lager like this,

Sample at the brewery, blonde color with a grainy sweet aroma and flavor that is almost macro-lager like. Meh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice little light lager goodflavour for the style. Clean and crisp, well done for a mainstream style beer.

Can from the brewery as GLB Blonde Lager. Crystal clear pale gold with a one finger quick fading white head. Nose is grassy with some light honey and light floral hops. Lightly sweet with a faint lemon tartness. Mouth is thin and crisp. A long way from their ales offerings. 5+/3/4/2+/9

Toronto 2015 trip +++ Sampled from a 473 ml can this beer poured a hazy yellow color with a medium sized soapy bright white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy with a bit of phenol and lemon. The flavor was tangy, sweet and yeasty with a bit of citrus and grass. Medium length finish. Medium body. Pleasant for what it is.

Druaght @ Stout Irish Pub, Toronto. Pours clear golden with small white head. Clear aroma of hops, with notes of malt and fruity touches. Bitter, hoppy flavour with citric notes and touches of yeast and malt. Hints of almond. Estery and bitter aftertaste. Refreshing and quite decent, despite rather low carbonation. 060715.

A new one from GLB’s prolific brewers. Picked this one up in a can at the brewery. Who knows if this one will make the shelves. The beer pours exactly as you’d think a blonde would, a clear golden blond in colour, a finger of fluffy white head that reduces to next to zip fairly quickly. The nose delivers a lot of hay malts, a little cider, (not that there is any in this brew, it’s not Ezra) and some slight doughy yeasts. The taste is all malts, which come off very light with hays and cereal, but it’s not a thin taste. Definitely a decent amount of grain went into this one. You’re also getting some light hops on this, mostly showing up in a little bitterness in the aftertaste. Really not ground-breaking here, but a good blonde which is exactly what they advertised. Swap this one out for your friend’s Coors Banquet and show them what that type of beer is supposed to taste like.

Indeed its golden. A little crisp, not bad for the style at all. High carbonation, some sharp malt. Made the trek all the way out to the brewery and a free sample of this was my reward.
