22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy reddish chestnut brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts, Belgian yeast and candied sugar. Flavour is quite well-balanced and interesting, with candied sugar, Belgian sugar, dark fruits and bready malt. Quite full-bodied, not too sweet and fairly complex. I didn't have this fresh, but at 1 year of age, this has turned out pretty good (especially for Spinnakers). Good stuff.

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy dark amber color with creamy head. Chestnut honey aroma. Sweet, with round mouthfeel; caramel flavor, candy, and chestnut honey; low bitterness.
Easily cloying.

On tap. Pours an orange brown with light foamy head. Aromas of raisins, figs, oranges, sweet malts, and brown sugar. Flavors of raisins, spice, light resin and brown sugar. Maybe a bit of tobacco. Lots going on although somewhat thin. Hot finish.

Draft - Ketchup and dark malts. Cloudy brown with a decent brown head, slightly sour, chocolate malts and candied sugar. Not a fan.
