In 1943, from the heart of the Ring of Fire, rose the mighty Volcan de Paricutin. With firestorms that reduced the nearby Mexican village to a lone cathedral frozen in time, the world stood in awe of its unprecedented power. Scientists were stumped as historians flocked to the Mexican site, in search of answers. Among the first of its kind and equally as mystical, our fourth Wonder of the Beer World is an adventurous bock brewed on Canada’s first pilot brewery, for those seeking an alternative to the generic. But be warned, for this fiery Rye Triplebock packs a malt-forward potency that dares to harness the elements
Loaded with subterranean flavour like the molten lava that once rose from the earth, this triplebock is packed with five different varieties of organic barley, Hallertau Tradition hops and a special Belgian yeast for secondary bottle fermentation. Creating a smooth, monster brew that won’t fail to warm you up on those long winter nights. But like the Volcan de Paricutin itself, this limited edition specialty brew will come and go in an flash—and who knows when it will resurface?

Dull light brown. No head. This has an oxidized note, with a sort of alcoholic toffee thing...but not that good...like that but worse.

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark red with a small beige head. Aroma is very cardboardy, with some caramel and bready malt. Flavour is very cardboardy, with toasted caramel, bready and ancient cardboard. Pretty nasty stuff.

Bottle - Light sour malts, fruit esters with a bit of nail polish. Cloudy brown with a decent beige head. Strong flavors, not particularly pleasant. Sour, acetal and esters. Give wide birth.
