On tap at the Atlanta airport taphouse, terminal A. It’s a clear dark golden beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma isn’t very complex, but sure pleasant. Lots of peaches, some pineapple and resin, and a subtle spiced touch. It’s full bodied and dry on the palate, with perhaps a bit much carbonation, but it’s nice anyway. Some malty notes in the flavor, but the hops pull the heaviest load. Peaches, pineapple and a really nice bitterness that lasts. It might be the long flight, but this was really nice right now. 140511

Location: 12 oz bottle at the Renaissance Waverly bar, 3/17/14
Aroma: The aroma is caramel malt and rye bread, a little grapefruit, spice, and a floral hops
Appearance: It pours a copper color with a small, frothy head, and some decent lace on it
Flavor: The flavor is similar to the nose, caramel/rye, light sweet, grapefruit/spice light bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium, a touch thin, with a plus carbonation and a spice tingle
Overall Impression: I thought this one was only okay. The hops just don't come through in a meaningful enough manner, and the overall beer is just kind of on the dull side.

Draft - Huge grapefruit with a nice caramel backbone. Little beige heat and a clear copper. Lots of caramel and grapefruit, with a hint of the rye spice. More sweet than bitter but nice.

Bottle pours a hazy orange/amber sweet light malt and honey aroma. Nice hoppy flavors with out much IBU bitterness. The Rye adds some too though.

12 oz. bottle in a trade with Darren. Best by 12/04/2013. Sampled 11/05/2013. Hazy amber gold hue with lively bubbles from the Co2. Traces of lacing. Smells of a standard amber type ale, toasted pale malt, caramel, hints of floral hops. Flavor starts with rye bread, toasted grain body with citrus and rye in the finish. Medium body with a drying texture on the tongue. Balanced well enough, good but nothing really stands out to me with this one.

12 oz. bottle. Thanks Joe! Light orange color, with a medium, beige head. The aroma is distinct rye, honey, light resinous and pine hops. The flavor is nicely bitter, and lightly spicy. Light to medium body, smooth and a little grainy. Nicely drinkable, with good rye spiciness.

From a 12 oz bottle in Hilton Head SC. Pours a clear light amber with a thick frothy white head. Grassy hop aroma. Pretty muted flavors, dominated by hop bitterness.
