Draft - Floral hops with sweet malt backbone. Clear copper with a rich beige head. Orange, herbal bitterness and a big caramel base. An east coast style IPA with with a bitter hit. A little rough around the edges but decent.

~ 16 ounce draft at the Triple 7 Brewpub at the Main Street Station, Las Vegas, Nevada. Listed simply as VIPA on the board. I noticed there were multiple listings on the site, as well as references to "Variable IPA" and "Vegas IPA". I will put the rating in the simple VIPA listing, as it was certainly not the Belgian version. The pour is a hazed copper orange, with a small off white head. The aroma is lightly bitter leafy hops, along with some floral, and toasted malt in the back. The taste is the nose, nice integration of the clean hop expression and the toasted malt. The palate is medium bodied, dry lightly bitter finish, and a lingering clean cracker malt. Nice beer, my favorite of the 7 Triple 7 pints I tried.

A golden IPA with a trhin lacing off white head. In aroma, biscuit malt with smooth floral hops, a bit subdued but decent. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt, crisp and dry, with grassy British hops, a bit of grapefruit, astringent points. On tap at brewpub, August 9 2012.
