Our flagship brew highlights barrel-fermented batches from our patented Firestone Union blended with beer fermented in stainless steel. It opens with a biscuity toasted malt aroma and a hint of oak and vanilla. Pale malts create a smooth malty middle with ribbons of caramel, English toffee and toasted oak. A tribute to English pales traditionally fermented in cask.

Aroma of herbal hops, wood and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of floral hops, earthy malt, fruit and oak. The finish is malty up front with a mildly hoppy aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sampled at Churchkey during CBC week. Pours a clear, dark orange with some cloudy white head. Nose is malt, cracker, honey, light lemon. Flavor is the same, malty, cracker, hay, biscuit, lemon. Dry finish. Decent, but I think I missed the boat.
