Our flagship brew highlights barrel-fermented batches from our patented Firestone Union blended with beer fermented in stainless steel. It opens with a biscuity toasted malt aroma and a hint of oak and vanilla. Pale malts create a smooth malty middle with ribbons of caramel, English toffee and toasted oak. A tribute to English pales traditionally fermented in cask.

On tap at Firestone Walker, pours a clear copper amber with a small beige head. Nose is full of bready malt, dry toffee, and light caramel. Flavour follows accordingly, with dry toasted caramel, bready malt, and light toffee. There's a hint of oak that rounds this off. Subtle but more interesting than the regular DBA. Excellent.

Draught @ the taproom Paso Robles. Pours a quite clear copper colour and a dense white head with little retention. Aroma's: toasted, light vegetal/sulphuric. Retronasal: toasted, hoppy, malty sweet. Flavour is light moderate bitter, very light sweet, fruity. Light bodied, good carbo. Finishes light bitter. Not remarkable, but tasty.

Draft at the Firestone Walker Taproom in Marina del Rey, CA. Pours mostly clear gold with a foamy, white head. Nice bready character, lightly bitter with some leaves, toasted grains and caramel. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and creamy texture. Smooth on the finish with further bready malts and toffee accents. Very enjoyable. Well rounded.

Grunt fill from Alberstons. Pours out a hazy amber with small fluffy head. Malt dominates the aroma, and kicks it up a notch in taste. Toffee, caramel, very mild bitterness. Unfiltered characteristics a nice addition.

Sample at GABF 09/26/2015, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. Hazy brownish-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually. Partial sheets of lacing. Aroma of herbal hops, wood and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of floral hops, earthy malt, fruit and oak. The finish is malty up front with a mildly hoppy aftertaste. Above average overall.
