Bomber from Letspour. Pours a clear amber color with a thin creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of caramel, toasted malts, faint clay and mild tannins. The taste is citrus, earthy, floral hops, raisin, toasted malts and caramel. Medium bodied, smooth, decently balanced. Solid beer.

Beautiful clear copper pour under a generous, creamy, off-white head. Sweet nutty, malty aroma. Bit-O-Honey candy. The flavor is lightly sweet with no real hop bitterness. Simple, safe, easy drinking.

Draft. Rich amber beer with a dark cream head. Light caramel aroma. Toasty malt and light caramel flavor. Medium bodied. Toasted malt and light caramel lingers with light backing hops.

Bottle straight from the brewery. Pours with a crystal clear orange to light copper body with a medium sized fluffy, white head that fades to a slightly smaller cap. Aromas are malty, slightly grainy, a slight hint of a spicy and grassy hop, seltzer, rich caramel, cereal and bready. Mild hints of a metallic nature that blow off. Flavors are bready, malty and rich with light caramel. Rich biscuit, clean yeast wise. Minimal hops. A real pleasure to drink. Supremely quaffable, nice malt balance and complexity, no off flavors. Mild but enjoyable. Medium to slightly higher than expected carbonation. Medium bodied. Hugely underrated (at least off of this batch).

Bottle. Poured hazy red with thin off white head. Foam rather than lacing. Aroma is malt, with a bit of currant and peach. Full bodied, malty flavour, more fruit. Malty finish with a bit of roast. Don’t chill this one too much

22 oz. bottle, pours a dark copper. Aroma of caramel malts and butterscotch. Similar, but weak flavour. Quite disappointed with this one.

22 oz bottle. Bought in June 09. Poured in my standard shaker, kicks up a golden head in about half the glass. Dark end of amber in color. Rich malty smell from a distance, a little more when I put my nose in it. Scottish ale always makes me think of peat, so I decide I smell that in there, too. I know from the abv listing not to expect a heavy ale, and that’s what I find. Light, sessionable beer. Toasted malts not enough to make up for a thin mouthfeel. Goes down nicely with balanced hops. But after half the bottle, a noticeable taste of dead yeast.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy caramel aroma. Sweetish malty caramel flavor with some hoppy hints. Sweetish malty hoppy bitter finish with hints of caramel.

Thanks to Skyview for this hard to find beer. I was hoping for a Scotch, rather than a Scottish style ale. Malt in the aroma and flavor, along with an unprocessed grain flavor. A pleasant session beer.
