Bottle - Toasted malts and chocolate with a bit of bread. Jet black with a big rich beige head. Light roast malts and some chocolate. Very light on the palate and at the abv very sessionable. I think they accomplished what they were looking for.

Average porter. Pours black with ok lacing. Taste has touch of anise and some roast malt. Finishes bitter with some sourness. One time wonder for me. Bottle.

bottle shared by jsquire - Pours dark brown though rather light for a porter. It has a chocolate and roast malt aroma that’s pretty good with a flavor to much. I guess I’ll call it medium bodied, but like the color it’s light for the style. The finish is moderately bitter. Average.

Deep reddish brown ale with no head. Sweet butterscotch and chocolate in aroma. Dry powdery chocolate in mouth, but very thin bodied. Wet dog overtone. May 2005.

Ruby-chestnut colour. Plummy, slightly chocolatey aroma. Dusty, chocolatey palate. Full flavour. Finish is hoppy dry with a hint of roast, plums. Stoutish - too roasty for a porter (but if I had a nickel for every time I’ve said that...)

Clear brown with beige head.Nose of dry malt, nothing else.Dry malt flavor, lightly roasted I detect no fruit whatsoever unlike others. Better than it was 5 years ago, when they last made it. Thin and roasty like a London Porter should be.
