Oak barrel aged for over 100 days in Burgundy wine barrels, the beer is a light-bodied Ale pouring copper red in color with a golden hue. Displays mellow aromas of vanilla and light toffee combined with some red wine notes. Smooth tasting with a mild hop flavor balanced with layered flavors of hazelnut, toasted oak and red fruit. The finish is clean and dry

A red wine barrel aged beer brewed to celebrate brewing in ’BC Wine Country’.

Hand crafted in collaboration with the award winning Quails’ Gate Vineyards. Our Signature beer – Hop Head India Pale Ale – was allowed to mature for over nine months in used French Oak barrels that previously aged their award winning Marechal Foch.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy amber with a medium white head. Nose brings out biscuity malt, subtle red wine, and crisp crackery malt. Flavour brings out a nicely hopped ale, with subtle use of red wine barrels. Nicely dry and lightly vinous. Very nice stuff.

Bottle - Slate smell, citrus and yeast. Clear gold with a rich white head. Effervescent, baking soda, orange citrus and almost herbal. Interesting and fun to talk about, but not great.
