341mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Nose brings out toasted nuts and a little toasted malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with notes of toasted nuts and lightly caramelized toasted malt. Dry, toasted and balanced, but pretty unambitious. Okay.

Sweet front, but balanced with toast, dark sugars. Med brown. Not refined but not bad.

Draught at The Whip Gallery, Vancouver
Dark brown color with red amber shades, small head. Smell of dirty, stale water, more than malt. Dry mouthfeel; dry caramel flavor, light, with an impression of dirty water; low bitterness.
Rather unnecessary.

Bottle - Toasted malts, toffee and hints of dark fruit. Very dark amber with a beige head. Grain, toasted malt and dark sugars with a bit of a nutty finish. Not bad.

Pours dark mahogany with ok lacing. Some astringency and a little malty coffee. Ok. A little bitter with slight sour mash finish. On tap at brewery.

On tap. Pours a very dark brown with almost no head. Aromas of hay, roasted malt, and bit of cocoa powder. Flavors are similar. OK but not memorable.
