Poured from the tap. Clear pale blonde with small white head. Just grain… at least it’s crisp… may as well drink a macro…

On tap. Pours a clear gold with a small, foamy, long lasting, white head that laces. Mild aroma of grainy malt, honey and grass. Mild, sweet flavour of biscuit malt, honey, lemon and grass in a dry, mild bitter, hoppy finish. Light body with a thin, watery texture and average carbonation. Not bad, just boring.

Okay medium clear gold body, little head. Soft grain aroma, very faint. Flavour is soft sugar and nothing else. Full enough on the mouth I suppose. Barely noticeable.

Bottle - Light grains, lemon and honey. Light gold with a frothy white head. Light grains, bubbly and a bit sweet. Another pils.

Pretty good for a lager, but not the greatest Czech pilsener I’ve had. Actually has distinguishable character beyond the chemical finings and such. Pours golden clear. Aroma of slightly candied malt. Abrupt, crisp finish without much of the sour aftertaste a lot of lagers have. On tap at brewery.

Dusty aroma. Golden, low head. Boring, light honeyish lager. Light body. Meh

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, new keg
Cloudy blond color; creamy head. Lemony aroma. Weak but smooth mouthfeel, very light Lager flavor and low bitterness. Empty final. It’s just a question mark.

Pours golden with a small white head. Sweet malty body - crisp lager. Not bad.

The flat pour and dun colour had me thinking of only one thing - Soviet style lager. Aroma of dust and sweat - this is a common yeast in BC (Shaftebury - sure smells like it) that they are using and it’s one I hate in that it lends no particular character other than this bland yet unpleasant aroma. The nose also has a bit of slightly honeyish graham cracker malt. Light and unobtrusive flavours or crackers and caramel are the main feature. Hops are restrained, sneaking through woody notes once in a while. The yeast contributes a subtle red currant note and a more dominant sweat one. Decent body for style. Overall, a bland "intro-micro", but the awful appearance and derivative yeast selection swing my opinion to the negative.

Cloudy gold, thin white head. Rather neutral nose.Lightly malty taste with decent body
