A smooth tasting, medium bodied ale with subtle spice notes and a lingering dry, hop bitterness on the finish.

So rebranding the banal caramelly 1990s amber ale as "session" because that word is trending? It’s either misinformed - there’s nothing sessionable about a cloying sweet 5% beer - or cynical. Insipid crap like this doesn’t offer one single reason to session it. No balance, no character you might want in a beer, and it’s leeching a really positive trend to sell terrible beer. One of the worst things I’ve seen out of BC in a long time.

Can: Poured a bright golden color ale with a generous head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of light cereal notes with some sweet notes also noticeable. Taste is also dominated by light cereal notes with some light citrus notes and some sweet undertones notes also noticeable. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. I was expecting an even lighter beer considering the style but in the end this is enjoyable enough as it is.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy amber color. Some malt aroma, but too light. The mouthfeel is very dry, and at this gravity also quite weak; the malt and caramel flavor has a moderate but appreciated biscuity side; ordinary bitterness, lightly metallic in the end. Not much hop character, although the Earl Grey Tea impression leads to think of bergamot.
Refreshing.

Draft - Caramel dominates the nose. Clear golden witha thin white head. Caramel, some grains, mild bitterness and a sweet and hoppy finish. A bit too sweet for my taste.
