Quite decent job of a maibock. Mercury and tempered caramel. A little too much of the latter if anything. Golden pour with good head and lacing. Crisp, light sweet end. Decent job. Tap at brewery.

Bottle from Brewers Haven. Nothing too exceptional here, but the fact that they are brewing German beers true to style is pretty notable. Dark golden pour with grainy, malty aroma. Taste also reflects the malt nature, cheese and cooked vegetables. Spot on!

On tap at Stateside Craft, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out vegetal notes, some funky herbal notes and mushroom. Flavour brings out loads of mushroom and other weird fungal qualities - not unusual for the style, just not so pleasing. Not very enjoyable - way too vegetal, fungal and herbal. A miss for me.

@ Portland Craft. Golden, malt accident with slight appley note. Sweetish character, bit appley, touch of alcohol late that helps it dry out. Not bad, maybe a touch sticky/gluey.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Golden color with small head. Sweet malt and corn aroma, lightly fruity, but simple eventually. Served quite cold, this seems a right temperature; it’s a rather sweet take, with mellow malt flavor, a touch of cereals, and balancing bitterness, happening to be a bit higher than a classic German Maibock, therefore also better; the hopping is delicate but modern, lightly fruity and grassy; the final has light but interesting notes of freshly baked bread.
Very nice.

Sample from firkin at the 6th Annual Rogue Firkin Fest at Green Dragon. Pours a clear dark orange color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, fruit and caramel. Medium-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, ripe fruit and grassy hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.
