Best decadent….maar hey: jullie verdienen het beste! Tijdens het ontbijt of op elk ander moment van de dag waarop je zin hebt om lekker te genieten.
Cheers! Of santé. Want dat kan natuurlijk allebei in Canada.

Hmmm, expected more... Doesn't taste like a porter, more quadruple like...

Bottle from Mallorn via the RB EU Trade. Dark brown to black with a frothy, light beige head. Pancakes restaurant aroma full of maple syrup and coffee but nothing too bombastic. Full of smoke underneath. Taste is sweet to bittersweet up front, full of caramel and maple syrup, dries up though at the finish where the roasted grains come to the forefront with a hint of cherry behind. Full, chewy body with a restrained carbonation. A good one.

Draft tasting glass @ Billie’s Bier Kafétaria. Black, little tanned head. Nose is bit too herbal for me, weeds mocha and some maple. Taste is herbal, mocha, chocolate, cereal, bit too thin grainy with some lower herbal notes and little maple, could be thicker bodied. Okay but not great bit too thin and herbal for what it should be but okay and decent enough overall.

15 December 2018. Black Beer Fest, Ieper. Cheers to Anke, Erwin & Ama Deke! Hazy black with a lasting, very thin, tan head. Aroma of burnt caramel, vanilla & cocoa bean, syrup, walnut, pancake, nutmeg, blackcurrant. Taste is medium malty sweet, some chocolate & caramel, a bit syrupy but restrained, dark fruit too; light to medium roasted bitter, more 'pure' cocoa bean, spicy edge of nutmeg. Dry, herbal hoppy finish, toasty, lingering coffee, subtle caramel & syrup, warming coffee liqueur alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. 'Classic' in terms of Imperial Porter with subtle maple character, plain good.

Draught @ Van Moll brewpub. Opaque black color, medium sized beige head. Aroma is malts, dark roasty and a bit smoky malty. Flavor is malts, creamy coffee a bit, roasty, lightly smoky again, roasted malt bitter. Texture is soft, round. Carbonation suits the beer: moderately soft to decent. Pleasant.
