Poured from 473mL can. Clear copper gold with full white head. Biscuity bread malt, leafy grassy hop with an oily resin finish. Took a few sips, but it's growing on me with each sip. Not amazing, but enjoyable.

473ml can. Pours a clear gold-amber with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves curtains of lace. Aroma of biscuity malt, orange, cantaloupe, pine and weedy hops. Sweet fruity flavour of caramel malt, grapefruit rind, orange flesh, cantaloupe and pine resin in a dry, bitter grass finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Decent, but there are a lot better fresh hopped IPAs out there.

Bottle, LDB
Dull hazy tan, and the foam frothed up way too much. Not a good look. On the nose, a fair bit of leafy hop, and a pale malt / yeasty underpinning. Moderate bitterness up front, but gets more bitter towards the finish. The hops remain fairly leafy throughout - if these are Willamette they are actually some of the nicer Willamette I’ve tasted. The malts are a bit doughy, likely the influence of the yeastiness. That detracts from the ability of the malts to support this beer. The finish is that same mix of dry, leafy hop and doughy indistinct malts. Despite the issues, it’s still a decent beer, just nowhere near Phillips’ best.

Bottle from Legacy Liquor, Vancouver
Cloudy golden to light amber color, medium sized compact head. Initially the aroma is hoppy, nice, with delicate fruity and resiny presence; later it’s reminiscent of freshly cut grass and weed. Dry mouthfeel, lean, the right choice for this beer; not much malt flavor though, what is left is a bit papery; the hops leaves a fresh impression of white grapes, for example muscatel, but the second impression is less favorable.
Fragile beer. In any case, one of the best Fresh Hops I had this year in BC (it was not a strong competition).

650 ml bottle. Pours a deep clear copper with full head. Big sharp aromas of hops - grapefruit and pine. Strong hop flavors as well, but very grassy with a bitter lime element. Odd.

Bottle - Lots of hops, grapefruit and pine with a tinge of sweetness. Clear orange with a thick rich head. Smells and looks great but lets you down a bit on taste. Very mellow with some orange, earthy hops and a bitterness in the middle that fades quick. Very little body and would make for a great light session beer that is a bit out of place to release in the winter.

22 oz. bottle, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is very fresh, full of herbal and skunky hops, marijuana and a light biscuity malt backing. Flavour brings out fresh pine cones, some herbal hops, a bit of the aforementioned weed detected in the nose but not as prominent, with a bit of floral quality coming through also. Medium astringency and dry on the finish. Drinks very refreshingly with no harsh edges. Quite a good one.
