Growler for 2017 vintage. Pours brown-black with a medium tan head that dissipates quickly to a film. Sparse patches of lace. Aroma of malt, oak, cherry and coffee. Medium body with flavors of chocolate malt, wood, and roasted coffee. The finish is malty with a subtle cherry aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Sampled thanks to ShavenDragon, nice! Black with dark beige head. Creamy chocolate, light earthy notes, sweet fake milk chocolate, vanilla, indeed some cherry, raw cocoa, blackberries. Over medium sweet, under medium bitter and sour. Over medium bodied. Tasty!

Bottle, 750 ml. Shared with JFK10000, Miro B and Max. Dark brown with beige head. Roasted malts, chocolate, cherries. Medium sweetness and nice fruity tartness. Some bitterness in finish. Medium to full bodied.

750ml bottle. Jet black colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, and lacing, tan head. Chocolately dark malty and fruity aroma, notes of belgian chocolate, dark chocolate, chocolate sauce, sweet-ish notes of cherry, some vanilla. Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately dark malty and minimally tart, fruity, notes of dark chocolate, chocolate sauce, cherry, morello, hints of vanilla, roasty dark malty addendum, a minimally dry, woody touch, whiffs of alcohol in the finish; nevertheless well hidden alcohol overall, in no way heavy, even quite refreshing due to the tart-ish fruitiness. Not overly complex but focussed, harmonious and homogeneous, a composition following a distinct idea - mission accomplished. Somehow a liquid Mon Chéri praline.
