Dan’s Pink Skirt is an American IPA brewed with Summit and Simcoe hops. Malt characteristics are mild throughout and practically undetectable in the nose. Pronounced floral and citrus aromas abound, with a pine resin hop bitterness that lingers well into the finish.

12 oz bottle. Pours golden with some fine particles and a white head. Aroma mainly has pale malts, hint of citrus. Flavor has grassy, spicy hops on a fairly bitter pale maltiness. Seems like more of an American Pale Ale than a real IPA to me. Somewhat disappointing.

Poured up on tap at Rochester Tap Room where it exhibits a near clear pure gold body that supports a bright white head that leaves behind some sheet lacing. The aroma offers up danky garlic, tangerine and then some mango and pineapple. The taste delivers a pleasing hoppy thickness with malt infused spicy danky hops and then a quick tangerine note. To midway it gets into mango and pineapple. Solid near chewy IPA treat.

Bottle. Pours a hideously dingy pale gold with a thin head. Aromas are better... kind of a grain dust malt presence with some lemon and a bit of soap. Flavor is good and crisp, unlike the aroma or the nose. It’s a clean lemony citrus presence with a bit of honey. Very nice.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 5/20/2013. Pours lightly hazy golden amber color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of big mango, peach, pineapple, grapefruit, lemon zest, floral, light pine, light honey, and floral earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of tropical/citrus hops with a moderate malt balance; and good strength. Taste of grapefruit, mango, pineapple, lemon zest, pine resin, floral, light honey, and floral earthiness. Good amount of pine resin bitterness; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, pineapple, mango, pine, floral, light honey, and floral earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice balance and complexity of citrus, tropical, and piney hops with a light-moderate malt balance; and minimal cloying bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a crisp and sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent IPA. Great complexity of hop flavors with sizable bitterness and moderate malt balance; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a large white head. A big rich fruity nose with some pineapple and other citrus notes. The flavor is clean and full: oranges, bitter orange peel, light bitterness. Very clean and tasty.
