Brewed at our Propagator brewhouse. In the summer of 2017, six lucky winners helped us conceive EX-1 at our Propagator pilot brewhouse as part of the Firestone Walker Expedition—an epic three-day brewing road trip along the California coast. This is an aggressively hopped new-age pale ale with pungent citrus and tropical fruit notes.

I think this is a fairly decent Pale Ale. Especially given that it's a bit old with canning date in mid-may. Hops taste somewhat fresh and have good balance with malt & carbonation. Good drinking beer.

Can. Tangerine, lime, biscuit malt, and grapefruit peel aroma. Slightly hazy yellow with moderate white head. Moderately sweet citrus, very light biscuit malt, and moderately bitter grapefruit peel. Light body. Smells great but flavor a let-down.

12 oz can from a variety pack. Canned about a month and a half ago. Aroma is grapefruit, pineapple, mango. Pours hazy golden with fine particulates floating underneath a medium white head with good retention, leaving a little lace. Taste is moderately bitter with flavors of citrusy and tropical hops. Finishes dry. Somewhat watery texture. Good but not extraordinary.
