Flascherl (Great Garching Gift!):Literally black, medium-sized stable creamy tanned head, moderate to solid bitter-sweet aroma of toasted malt and cacao with traces of dried fruits; nearly solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, silky MF; lingering bitter-toasty finish with chocolate and fruits. Very good! A liquid cake...

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Roasty and chocolately, dark malty aroma, minimally dusty notes of cocoa, cocoa powder, fruity hoppy overtones with cautious hints of dark berries, bramble, blueberry, a touch of liquorice root. Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately and roasty dark malty, slightly bitter notes of dark chocolate, some cocoa, fruity hoppy notes of bramble, blueberry, black currant, a touch of liquorice, liquorice root, a minimally metallic touch; well hidden alcohol. Relatively watery texture, somehow hard (lime water), metallic and chalky palate. Quite drinkable for its double-digit abv.

Bottle. A- Roasty, cocoa, mild char. A- Black color, dark liquid, beige head. T- Roasty, cocoa, cucumber, mild cabbage. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, tangy finish. O- Perhaps this was off or the plastic cup I used impacted the flavor? Had a tangy vegetal aspect that threw it off a bit. Not sure what to think of this.

Bottle, thanks to Jonas. Lightly smoky, big soy, salty and umami nose with dark meaty chocolate, light berries. Black with a human tan head. Tons of umami. Flavor is dark chocolate and soy sauce, mushrooms, light coffee, Worchestershire sauce. Crazy. Fell like I’m even getting some Baltic Sea salt. Rich and thick. Fun stuff, better for winter.

Tap at Beergeek Bar. Very dark brown body with a lasting off white head. Lovely dry malty aroma, coffee and cocoa really. Dry, lean taste with a big, distinctive coffee flavor, even though it contains no coffee - it's all from the malts, impressively so. Ends slightly too dry in the light bitter finish, but still a very good beer, highly drinkable for the ABV.
