Remember the first time you went left when logic and everyone else told you to go right? When you looked down the road that would safely take you to exactly the same place it always did, and you chose another path? That’s what Waterslides is all about: choosing a dream. Looking uncertainty in the eye and whispering menacingly, “Let’s dance.”

Bottle: Hazy/cloudy amber with a large, craggy, off-white head. Orange, caramel, pine aroma. Taste is sweet.....tangerine malt, caramel malt....an almost candied feel to it. Bittering is a mix of leaves, peel and pine. Tasty......and nearly sticky.

Sampled from the tap at the St. Paul Summer Beer Fest. Pours a clear orangish amber with a tan head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma is resinous with musty grain and some earthy grass. Flavor has musty and earthy grains with a bit of bitter citrus and a touch of sweetness.

Location: Bottle at the Publican, 7/2/14

Aroma: The nose is citrus and floral hops with some caramel malt backing
Appearance: Pours a hazed amberish color with a smallish off-white head and decent lace
Flavor: The taste is medium-plus bitter, nice hoppiness, and a solid malt backbone
Palate: The body is medium, it has a pretty solid mouthfeel, and a mid-dry finish
Overall Impression: This one was a nice, enjoyable, plenty drinkable IPA. It worked nicely and paired nicely with the food. Good beer.

Bottle. Pours clear amber, large beige creamy head that dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is mostly pine and caramel. Flavor is light sweet and light bitter. Medium body, oily mouthfeel. This could be the iconic standard IPA of three years ago.

12oz bottle. Hazy orange-gold body. Steady, creamy off-white head. Cool, sugar edged crisp hop aroma. Sort of one-dimensional, but has an enjoyable enough hop tone. Mediocre product, sort of offensive and inauthentic to experienced drinkers. Not bad, just really mediocre.

Bottle. Pours a light amber in color with a small thin white head that leaves some nice lacing. Citrus hops and sweet caramel malt aromas. Taste is along the same lines with a nice bitter hop peresence. Nicely balanced malt and hop character. Maybe a little too caramel like for me, but it still is nice.

A hazed golden IPA with a thick creamy mocha head. In aroma, a sweet fruity caramel malt with pungent British hops, vinous notes, butterscotch. In mouth, a sweet butterscotch malt with grassy citrus hops, not bad. On tap at Istmus Beer and Cheese Fest, Jan 19 2012.
