12 ounce can from Woodman's Appleton, 2/29/20. Hazy gold, thin foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of bready malt, earthy hops. Taste is leafy, herbal hops, pale bready malt. Medium bodied, crisp, lingering bitterness. Solid.

Pours golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma of Kölsch and Pilsen malt. Taste has grassy malt, floral hints, dry honey. Palate has light honey on the nose, fantastic malt. Great beer.

12 oz can from 6-pack sent by Sierra Nevada. Has a nice zesty Kölsch nose, unlike a lot of blander summertime beers that claim the style. Bright yellow beer, a foamy head. Taste is sharp, a little tart, with the spice of a wheat beer, and a citrus note. Even a bit of kraut taste that works all right with this. Not catching the floral and honey aromas they claim, but it's definitely all right as a light beer.

Can bought at Liquor Shed. August 14th canning. I know.

Pours a clear straw gold with lots of foam and lots of bubble action.

The smell is of floral hops, lemon like, light sweetness.

I do seem to get some honey sweetness, the floral hops in the smell don't translate all that well in the taste. It's kinda earthy, it does finish on a more bitter side.

At 3.5%abv, I expected the body to be thin and that's what I got.

Not worthy of a repurchase but it is not horrible.

12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 8/2/2019. Pours fairly crystal clear pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lemon, pear, red apple, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and honey; with lighter notes of wood, peppercorn, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance of pale/wheat malts, honey, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with big strength. Taste of big lemon, pear, red apple, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and honey; with lighter notes of wood, peppercorn, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, pear, red apple, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, honey, wood, peppercorn, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of pale/wheat malts, honey, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 3.5%. Overall this is an excellent German kolsch style. All around great robustness and balance of pale/wheat malts, honey, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp/clean to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Great clean malt/honey showcase; with balancing earthy hops, and restrained fruity yeast. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example. One of the best gluten reduced beers I've ever had.

Light lemon, barley malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with large white head and mild effervescence. Soapy lemon, light malt, and mildly bitter/metallic dry hay flavor. Very light body. Very light and not particularly pleasant.

Can from Whole Foods in Folsom, CA. Pours bright gold with a fizzy/creamy white head. Aroma is bready, and there does seem to be a touch of honey. Medium body, more or less. Flavor is bready, and there is something else - not particularly much in the way of hop - tho a bit of Sazz might be present. I'm getting something on my lips that makes me think of honey. Whatever. This has more character than most Kolsch ales I've had, and it's actually a decent drink. Surprising, that.
