Super clear pink, purple, violet and a tiny bit of copper all coming through, with a very fast-dying tan head, only one centimetre tall at first and fades to nothing after just a few seconds. Aroma of berries, brine, salt, acidity, sour candy and a touch of flowers, all with a dry malt noticeable. Light-bodied; Very crisp berry and salty brine flavour at first that leaves a nice, dry and herbal finish towards the end from the malts, but this is clean and easy-drinking with a nice tart and salty finish. Aftertaste is clean as well with a good layer of sweetness coming through and a tiny bit of brine, but the wheatie and soft malts make this very easy-drinking and pleasant. Overall, a very nice beer for the style and great for the name versus expectations, as this one hits almost exactly as I'd expect, although it's hard to differentiate blackberries vs blueberries vs straw/rasp/etc berries, but this is nice in the wintertime and would be even better in summer! Great to try this one ultra-fresh! I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 19-January-2021 for US$2,99, canned on: 13-January-2021, best by: 12-July-2021, sampled at my house here in Washington on 18-February-2021, a few blocks away.
