Brimming with chocolate and cinnamon flavors. The distinctive characters of Mexican Hot Chocolate are the base of this decadent stout.

Bottled. Pours brown to black with very little head. Cinnamon, a hint of spice and chocolate. Medium bodied. My favorite of the stout box.

Bottle. This is a great beer. The way the cinnamon and spice complement the chocolate. Yum!

12 oz bottle from Binny's. Pleasant chocolate nose under the cap. Pours brownish black under a sturdy tan head. Taste brings up mild proportions of cinnamon, more so than the chocolate. No malt roastiness, so the main component throughout is the chocolate and cinnamon, and again, it's done pretty well. Some stickiness on my lip after enjoying.

5 oz. tap pour at the Bottleworks. It's a virtually opaque black with thin cap of beige head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is moderately strong cinnamon over fairly imperceptible chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is strong cinnamon over chocolate and roasted malts. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, decent complexity and strength of aroma and flavor but not overwhelming. Nice.

Bottle, mix pack, TWSP. Dark brown to black with a soft brown head. Cocoa powder, chocolate, light spice nose. Cinnamon, chocolate, roasted malt. Not the best version of this stout I've tried. Something just tastes a bit cheap (but then again, this was an inexpensive mix pack).

Bottle (that has been waiting in the fridge for quite a while.) Pours like a cola... fizzy head and a lively carbonated brown body. Aromas of chocolate, leather, and autumn leaves. Flavor is pretty interesting... chocolate and cinnamon are the main draws with a bit of earthiness on the finish... kind of that leather and fall leaves thing. It's thin on the palate but fairly full on flavor. I liked this a lot more than I would have guessed after the pour and nose.

12oz bottle. Pretty tasty dessert Stout...kinda. Sweet and sugary, but still remains drinkable. Cinnamon and chocolate syrup. Maybe some faint ancho, maybe. Kind of a weak interpretation at the same time. Not that impressive. Milky body, adjunct heavy. Could use a little more finesse.

Cinnamon, chocolate malt, sour milk, and hay aroma. Black with moderate brown head. Moderately sweet cinnamon, chocolate malt, and mildly bitter dry hay flavor. Good body. Decent - light malt flavor.

12 ounce bottle from Binny's Lincoln Park. Near black, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of cinnamon, roast, chocolate and a dry fruitiness. The taste is strong cinnamon, chocolate, apple-like fruit. Medium bodied, mildly spicy, lingering spice. Solid.

Cinnamon, cocoa, and walnut nose. Cola brown, medium tan head. Cinnamon, raisin, and walnut. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Very little chocolate, nice blend of spices though.
