Gift from my manager, who was visiting the area. Aroma has sour tinged spice. Malts. Clear dark amber. Thick foamy off-white head. Spicy. Malty. Fruit/berry edge adds sourness. More fruit and malts and spice. Light-medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Lazy soft carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Enjoyable.

Bottle: Clear, dark amber with a huge, smooth, beige head. Caramel, nut, aroma. Taste is sweet and nutty, caramel malt. Really enjoyable.....

Nutty toffee malt and fresh hay aroma. Dark amber with large tan head. Mildly sweet nutty toffee malt and mildly bitter hay flavor. Light body. A decent amber ale.

Look, I didn't like coming here because it was so darn crowded, but so far the beers have been pretty good and on style. Brown and clear. Very easy dark beer, can really appreciate. Some leather and slag but it is pretty on style for an irish kinda thang. Good co2 and easy. Good example of a well done civilized dark beer, thank you.

This Ale poured a dark amber colour with a nice, tan coloured head. Scents include malt, light ripe fruit and caramel. First sip was smooth with medium/low carbonation. Flavours of caramel and very light hop with very little bitterness. Finish is malty with caramel and light hop flavours lingering.

12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 6/9/2014. Pours moderately hazy reddish copper color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, toast, toffee, brown sugar, biscuit, light nuttiness, raisin, plum, herbal, light chocolate, and toast/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and light-moderate fruity yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of big caramel, toast, toffee, brown sugar, biscuit, light nuttiness, raisin, plum, herbal, light chocolate, and toast/yeast earthiness. Slight earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, toffee, brown sugar, biscuit, light nuttiness, raisin, plum, light chocolate and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity and robustness of dark/bready malt and light-moderate yeast ester flavors; with no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth and fairly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice amber ale. Good robustness and complexity of dark/bready malt and light-moderate fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
