Bottle. Ok, I really like this beer, a lot. The pleasant apple and cinnamon with the notes of vanilla are actually quite tasty.

Clear light yellow color with a tiny white head and poor retention. No lacing. Tastes like a super sweet apple pie and crust. Really good but not very beer-like. Alco-pop.

Bottle. Cinnamon, vanilla, apple, malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Very sweet cinnamon/vanilla, candied apple, light caramel malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Light body. Really can’t be too hard on this - it IS supposed to taste like apple pie and it succeeds. A sugar bomb.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 1/25/2017. Pours fairly crystal clear pale golden yellow color with a small foamy white head with poor retention, that reduces to a ring of lace pretty quickly. Minimal lacing on the glass. Good appearance. Aromas of sweet/tart/crisp apples, vanilla, cream, cinnamon, pie crust, and herbal earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance of apples, spices, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big sweet/tart/crisp apples, vanilla, cream, cinnamon, pie crust, and herbal earthiness. Light apple tartness and bitter/spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sweet/tart/crisp apples, vanilla, cream, cinnamon, pie crust, and herbal earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of apples, spices, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Moderate dryness from tart/spiciness and carbonation, increasing through the glass. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, fairly grainy/sticky, and slightly acidic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is a very good fruit beer. All around nice robustness and balance of apples, spices, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the balanced tart/spicy finish. Tastes just like apple pie as advertised. More of an alcopop as expected, but really enjoyable.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours bright gold with a slight, transient white head. Cinnamon apple aroma. Cinnamon apple flavor. A bit sweet. Suggests the brown sugary parts of an apple pie. Arguably proving City Brewery can brew something that’s not disgusting.

Bottle: Clear gold with a quick white head. Apple, ginger, vanilla scent. Taste is baked apple, cinnamon, vanilla, pie crust. This one actually has a hint of Beer to it, but not much. Very sweet.....honestly, it’s pretty tasty, but I don’t think I could drink 2 back-to-back......

12 oz. bottle. Aroma is cinnamon, apples, and malt. Yes it smells good but I am skeptical about this malt beverage.
The flavor is ok for the first sip or two. Then it just becomes sweet and syrupy. Can’t taste any alcohol through all the apple and cinnamon.
Like drinking carbonated apple pie filling. Certainly worse things to drink (and I almost finished the bottle) but more like a soda pop than beer.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a medium yellow color with a trace white head that faded instantly?and left no lacing. The aroma was sweet vanilla, a touch of cinnamon and apple. The flavor was sweet apple and cinnamon with some vanilla. Long finish. Medium body.
