Dark roasted malts give rise to strong coffee aroma and flavor paired with notes of caramel and chocolate. This full bodied beer balances out with mild ester and hop presence.

Bottle thanks to Drake! I hope this is loaded with caffeine. Clear somewhat dark brown with a small off-white head. Nose is chocolate, caramel, oats. Flavor is slightly sweet roasted oats, caramel, light chocolate. Slight grit left on my teeth. Good, simple, well done.

Dark brown. Grain in the aroma, and moderately roasted grain flavor. Medium sweet, and the high abv is hidden fairly well. A solid sweet stout.

12 oz bottle from Ray’s, Wauwatosa. Rich stout smell out of the bottle, but it’s gone in the glass. Nice solid black stout color, head has some lacing, but few surface bubbles. Taste is nice and smooth, roasty but not harsh, with some coffee roast behind it. A little foam on my lip is the best reminder that this is an oatmeal stout, but when you bottle this style, you either need a widget or bottle conditioning, most pressure carbonation is just wrong for a style best enjoyed on cask. Hint of cherry at the end. Make no mistake, it’s a worthy beer.

Draft at the OF. Opaque black with a thick off-white to beige head. Thick and chocolaty with burnt cocoa edge. Quite nice and rich. Stranger non-hoppy bitterness with some underlying soapiness as well. Quite oaty, does a good job of separating itself from other Stout varieties. Pretty good overall.
