12 ounce can from Woodman's Appleton, 1/2/20. Hazy yellow, large fizzy white head, good retention. Aroma of wheat, yeast, lemon, biscuity malt. Taste is lemon, orange, yeast, wheat. Medium bodied. Solid, traditional except maybe a little yeast forward.

On tap at the Wausau location. Pours a hazy light straw yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy wheat with a bit of sweetness and a touch of clove. Flavor has more of a sweet wheat bite with light fruits and a bit of clove.

Draft. Orange, peach, wheat malt and straw aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with small head. Moderately sweet orange-lemon, wheat malt, and lightly bitter straw flavor. Light plastic aftertaste. Decent wheat beer but doesn’t have many typical weizen characteristics.

Sample at the downtown brewpub. Cloudy straw color with a medium white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of wheat, banana and malt. Light body with flavors of herbal yeast, biscuit malt and bananas. The finish is sweet with a citrus and wheat aftertaste. Decent overall.

A hazed golden wheat ale with a thin creamy white head. In aroma, a nice lemony banana with light cloves. In mouth, a nice smooth and creamy malt with bananas, light lemon, not bad. On tap at Madison airport location, Jan 22 2012.

Draft at the downtown brewpub. 5 for appearance right off the bat. Cloudy, thick orange-tan. Steady, creamy white head. Served with a lemon, looks nice. Pronounced banana-clove aroma and flavor. Really nails the style. Medium bodied, somewhat doughy and yeasty, quite thirst-quenching. Well done, one of GD’s better offerings. Lacks a touch of depth, just shy of World Class.

A rather thin wheat beer, with hints of lemon, grain, and mild tartness - a little phenolic character - not a lot more going on - a few soft floral notes make things a little more interesting - otherwise it’s mostly grainy and lemony.
