Can. Floral toffee malt and straw aroma. Amber with large tan head. Moderately sweet floral toffee malt and mildly bitter hay flavor. Okay body. Strong floral/perfume aroma and flavor.

Pour is a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is a decent grainy, caramel maltiness. Flavor is a decent clean bready malt with a bit of caramel and sweetness. Finish is a bit watery but it was still pleasant. This was a pretty good o-fest and better than the rating on here suggests.

Slightly Hazy Copper Color, Medium Head Dissipated Quickly, Spotty Lacing. Funky Aroma, Can’t Quite Put My Finger On it, What Exactly Reminds Me... Cooked Vegetables? Taste of Malt, Once again Cooked Vegetables, slightly Sour Notes with faintly toasted bitter finish. Slightly Over carbonated, medium body that is a bit buttery... Not a great Example of style... Drinkable but not really enjoyable. Pass it... Thanks to my sister for this gift from Milwaukee, WI...

Slightly hazy, mostly clear amber coloured body with a copper glow and a rich, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of malt, alcohol, metal, light toffee and caramel and a hint of spices. Medium-bodied; Assertive malts up front with a lot of earthy and vegetal spices, some bitterness from some cardboardie malt and a big dose of funk and unpleasant sweetness right afterwards. Aftertaste shows some metal, caramel sweetness, maltiness, earthiness and bitterness, all showing relatively strong and not in a good way. Overall, not a great marzen and one that should be avoided, or at the bare minimum - not be puchased and flown back home with. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Binny’s in Chicago (South Loop location), Illinois on 21-August-2013 for US$1.67 sampled at home in Washington on 14-October-2013.

On tap at the Horny Hideaway. Filtered bronze-orange. Small, steady, creamy head. A little odd, not so great. Grainy, sugary, adjunct-ridden. Pretty sub par, drinkable but not much quality to speak of. Come off cheap, extract maybe? Semi-doughy, light orange hop balance. Completely unexceptional. Awfully buttery.
