330 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, nuts and dark fruit. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, liquorice, dark fruit, dark chocolate and nuts with a bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation.

Bottle, 7.2%. Roasted aroma, a little smoked, hint of ashtray. Very dark brown colour, seems clear. Big rocky light brown head. The flavour is sweetish and roasted, has a little barley bitterness, some ashtray. A bit rough around the edges, but not too bad.

Bottle from Embrouille - thank you! Pours cloudy very dark brown with ruby shades and airy but rocky and stable off-white head. Dark, fruity aroma with notes of malt, caramel, and chocolate. Sweetish, fruity and slightly vinous flavour, with notes of malt, chocolate and liquorice. Roasty and slightly vinous finish. Good, although it tastes more like a Barley Wine than a Foreign Stout.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with full tan head. Aromas of cocoa powder, heavily roasted malt, raisins, and copper piping. Flavors of roasted malts, light chocolate, light cooked vegetables, and tobacco. Lighter body than I expected. A tad thin and metallic.

33 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 07.05.2011
Aroma has very roasted malt, some fruity notes and spices. Flavour is somewhat sour with too roasted malt, some fruity notes and herbs. Sour and too roasted – that combination just doesn’t work. Feels actually like a Belgian stout.

Bottled (thanks K.S.!). Deep murky brown colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is ashy, chocolaty with some roasted malts and mild herbal and wooden notes. Flavour is sweetish grainy maltyness with some slight spices, roast, mild earth and some slight berries. Also some slight alcohol to be noted.

11.2 oz. bottle, pours a dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma is fruity, nutty and spicy, with some dried fruits (dates, figs), toasted bread and some undecipherable spice notes. Flavour is quite fruity, with the dates, figs and cherries, toasted bread, some spiced notes, and some nutty qualities. Certainly doesn't taste like a stout or even a spiced ale - not sure what this is, but I suppose it's alright for what it is.

Bottled, thanks Bov! Clear dark brown, coarse head. Dryish with clean mouthfeel and medium body. Salt, tobacco and licorice spritzed out by slight fruity yestyness in the Belgian stout fashion. Growing bitter finish.

Harmonisch, lecker, angenehm hopfig. 7/9/8/9/10/9

Colabrown beer with a weak and brown head. Aroma is interesting and complex, herbs, roastiness, anis and fruity sweetness. Taste is roasted, some herbal nuancees, enough of sweetness, "sweet and sour". interesting taste. Medium bodied, slippery and nice to drink. Interesting, herbal and spicy beer, still spicys are only spicys and not the whole beer.
