24 ounce can into pint glass, best before 10/2017. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger foamy and fluffy off white head with solid retention, that reduces to a ring of lace. Minimal lacing on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Good appearance. Aromas of tomato juice, lime, salt, garlic, onion, celery, chili peppers, peppercorn, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce; with lighter notes of cracker, bread, and herbal spice earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of tomato juice, lime, peppers, spices, salt, and light-moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of tomato juice, lime, salt, garlic, onion, celery, chili peppers, peppercorn, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce; with lighter notes of cracker, bread, and herbal spice earthiness. Very mild herbal bitterness and pepper spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tomato juice, lime, salt, garlic, onion, celery, chili peppers, peppercorn, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, cracker, bread, and herbal spice earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice robustness and balance of tomato juice, lime, peppers, spices, salt, and light-moderate bready malt flavors; with a solid bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/grainy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.1%. Slightly increasing lingering pepper spice heat after the finish. Overall this is a very good fruit/spiced pale lager style. All around nice robustness and balance of tomato juice, lime, peppers, spices, salt, and light-moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and pretty refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/spicy finish. Great balance of all flavors; with nice pale lager presence, and not overdone on spices. Second pour was more murky than the first one, but this was still very enjoyable. I liked this a lot more than the Modelo, which felt too heavy on the tomato juice. This is a lot more balanced, well made stuff for the style.

Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy gold with a whitish head. No tomato color. Aroma of tomato and something that might be spicy. Med minus body. Flavor is celery, salt, some tomato and very light spice. I could do the can, if there were nothing better in line.

It smells like I guess it should smell: beerish tomatoey bit of malt. Fuzzy head faded to nothing immediately. Flavor’s like nose, soft carbonation doesn’t help. A tiny bit spicy. It’s ok.

24 oz can from Winco. This is one ugly fucking beer--murky orange with floaties of what I assume are the spices, no head. Aroma is straight up michelada, what we used to call red beers in my younger days, with tomato juice, pepper, cumin, lime. Taste brings me back to those hangover days up camping when I was in my late teens/early twenties, when the only thing to get the hair of the dog back was to pour tomato juice into whatever shitty pale lager happened to be around. Strong tomato flavor, along with pepper, cumin, lime and salt. There’s some real spicy heat here, provided from what I assume is the black pepper, although there might be another ingredient in here not mentioned. Really tasty for michelada fans. Beer snobs will scoff, though.

Sample via Patrickctenchi - such a great friend that he gave me most of it - guess this is payback for all the Malt Likkas I’ve been giving him. Tomato juice aroma - really don’t get anything else. Murky yellow red with no head. Tomato juice, light lime, and barley malt flavor. Mild pepper burn in the finish. Could have been worse.

24 Oz Can:....why???? Pours a revolting, fizzy, dirty orange...like rust-laden water...with a weird, scummy orange head..... Mild, salty tomato juice scent. Taste is quite watery...tomato juice, lime, salt....very minimal spiciness....Did I mention watery? Easier to choke down than AB Cheladas.......though still absolutely vile.
