Objectively the most thirst-quenching beer we’ve ever brewed, SeaQuench Ale is a session sour mash-up of a crisp Kölsch, a salty Gose and a tart Berliner Weiss brewed in sequence with black limes, sour lime juice and sea salt. The result? A citrusy-tart union that has captured the attention and hearts of beer, wine and margarita drinkers alike!

After a full year of research and development, the blissfully inefficient SeaQuench Ale hit the mark and the mood we were looking for. With a touch of salt on the tongue and a bit of malt sweetness in the finish, SeaQuench Ale is as unique as it is refreshing and █████████ and perfect to down the whole year round.

Good example of my new strategy to drink 4-5 servings of a beer before rating, instead of just 1 (or less). At first I kinda liked it, thought it was a nice refreshing sour. Then I thought I didn’t like it, finding it a bit one-dimensional, lacking the complexity and weirdness I might want in a sour. Then I found some subtleties, the lime and brininess became more apparent. So after 4 cans, I don’t love it but I like it fine. I’m glad to see DFH putting effort into making good beer and not just gimmicks.

On tap at Red Cow North Loop. Pours a hazy yellow with a gold hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of slightly tart lime with a salty wheat note backing. Flavor has lots of lime that is slightly tart with a light wheat backbone.

12 ounce can. Hazy pale yellow gold color. Large rocky white head. Faint hay-like malt nose, hinting at wet newspapers. First sip brings tart, citrusy malt flavor. Lots of lime and salinity. Notes of sourdough and pale wheat. Lots of Berliner Weiss character. Very drinkable and refreshing for a sour beer. Enjoyable.

Amazing idea, fairly solid results. The adjuncts are a bit murky with such a kaleidoscopic approach, yet the finished brew has a mellow citric saltiness, easy on the palate yet curious enough to keep the beer interesting. A bit watery on the finish, but otherwise fascinating.

Bottle from Discount. Pours a clearish gold with a small half-finger of mineral water like head. Lacto and mineral nose with a touch of sudachi. Clean and tart with zesty line and peppery coriander. Uber-refreshing and light. Tartness is there. This is quite well-done.

Really nice beer. Aroma is grain, citrus, tart. Flavor’s like nose, tart in front, just the right amount, barest hint of salt. Excellent body. Very clean finish. Super drinkable.

From a 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear pale gold with a quickly dissipating white head. Fresh lime aroma. Flavors of lemon, lime and salt. Crisp, tart finish.
